Pilates for Lower Back Pain

This class is for those suffering with lower back and hip problems. Exercises will focus on core strength, postural alignment, stability, strength and flexibility of the lower back and hips. Modifications and progressions will be given out for individual needs.

Pilates for Beginners

This class is for those who have never done Pilates before, who have just finished a Pilates Rehabilitation course or who like to practice Pilates at a beginners level. It works on core strength, flexibility, efficient breathing, good posture and bringing awareness to your body so that you will know your imbalances-what areas need stretching and what areas need strengthening.

Pilates for Beginners/Intermediate

This class is a step up from the beginners class. If you have done a bit of Pilates before or completed at least 8 beginners classes then this is for you. Beginners options will still be given out so if you are a beginner you are also welcome. It will build on the core strengthening exercises learnt in the beginners course and prepare you for intermediate exercises. In all my classes there are always modifications and progressions that can be given out individually.

Who is it for?

Bone Strengthening Pilates for Osteoporosis

This class focuses on Pilates exercises that strengthen and maintain bone density. It is important to build up as much bone density as early as possible to prevent weak bones or Osteoporosis later in life. If you already have Osteoporosis, it is important to maintain the bone density you have. Osteoporosis effects 1 in 3 women after menopause! All exercises in this class are suitable and good for those people with Osteoporosis preventing fractures and falls.

Who is it for?

Rehabilitation Pilates

This class is for people recovering from injuries, aches and pains. It is a low level Pilates class with an experienced Physiotherapist.

Classical Pilates Repertoire links Pilates exercises together in flowing sequences for a cardio and core workout that clears the mind.

Childbirth can weaken and overstretch core muscles and effect your posture so it is important to strengthen your core and correct your posture afterwards to keep you healthy and strong to carry your new baby around without causing any injuries.
